Decorative Fair - Charlotte Casadejus

Charlotte Casedejus’s exquisite C19th embroidered monogram linens

One of the most pleasing things about textiles is that they can transform a room with very little effort.  Antique curtains, lengths that can be attached to form a valance to a bed, fragments that can form a cushion cover (for those handy with a sewing machine) or new cushions or covers in crisp fresh white linen, can bring intense pleasure. At the Fair, Charlotte Casedejus exhibits with Streett Marburg showing decorative furniture and large Chinese silk embroideries mounted as art, but close to her heart is her love of fine antique French embroidered and monogrammed linen pieces, which she expertly crafts in to cushion, pillow and bolster covers.  She has a wide selection of initials available, which would make a wonderful gift.  See her web page here.

She also has a penchant for chintzes and ‘tree of life’ hand-painted panels, which you can see on her website and she is very active showing stock on Instagram @KatharinePole
