Adventures in Decoration

The Winter Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair goes through the looking glass for inspiration from 21-26 January 2020 as the Fair Showcase celebrates Alice in Wonderland: an adventure in decoration.  The Fair Showcase is a professionally styled space in the entrance Foyer, created by the Organisers to highlight the many design disciplines for sale at the fair, drawing on stock from exhibitors.  In this instance, the display will demonstrate the humour and fun of accessories often found throughout the fair: Alice in Wonderland will be a whimsical homage to John Tenniel (1820-1914), marking the bicentenary of the illustrator of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.  It precedes a major exhibition coming up at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
