Visit The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair & The Textile Society’s London Antique Textile Fair The Same Weekend…
On Sunday 7th October you could take in two antique textile fairs, though we imagine a day at each might be more sensible and less tiring… And they’re in the same neck of the woods, so why not combine the two. Our fair as you know is in the Battersea Park “Evolution” *(I still wince when I have to use the name) and the Textiles Society is in the Chelsea Old Town Hall in the Kings Road, London SW3. The textiles fair is from 10.30am to 4.30pm. For more details visit their site.
The Textile Society hosts their 3rd London Antique Textile Fair which showcases textiles and garments from all over the world from 17th century to the 1970s. You can see ethnic clothing & textiles, Japanese kimonos & English costumesas well as more recent fashionable 20th century designer textiles from UK and European dealers. Conservators, and specialist secondhand costume and textile booksellers, will also take stands.
The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair of course always features many textiles and rugs/carpets items amongst the 130 dealers’ exhibitor stands and you can see the full list Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair London 2012 Exhibitors
