OK of course every paper likes to pictue pretty girls – just look at the Telegraph when the ‘A’ level results come out… do they show swotty boys? No!

So good luck to the Novi Antiques Market, somewhere in the States (PS It’s in Detroit, Michegan) who are using the contestants (as left) in the pinup girl contest at the show to promote/embody the “glamour of the ’40s and ’50s”. I guess that’s all part of the mid-century attraction.

Can you imagine the equivalent for Victoriana? It wouldn’t be quite the same would it…
