Colour Blocking Brings a Bold Splash to Interiors
Combining blocks of bold, strong colours has been a fashion trend this winter season, and is making its way now in to our homes. Vibrant furniture and accessories in bright 60s/70s-inspired shades of orange, cobalt blue, and spring green bring a zing to the decorating scheme. The trick to the current trend is to select items that are drenched with all-over colour.
You can find wonderfully individual furniture & accessories at the 2010 Decorative Antiques Fair in Battersea
Many of our dealers in modernist and post-war design sell chairs, ceramics, glass and other accessories in fabulous colours. Some examples include these striking leather tub chairs designed by Luigi Massoni in 1972 for Poltrona Frau, Italy’s most famous high quality leather upholstery company (shown at our Autumn 09 event)… Looks like a lot of fun!
